Do I have time to write for holmestice?

Last round, I did a pinch hit. I also signed up for thegameison_sh each month (500-750 words, only, so that's not too bad, right?).

And this, after saying I was done writing to deadlines.

*whimpers at my utter lack of self-control

It takes me forever to write... I can't just whip something out (usually), even if it's short. It's a painstaking process. 

But, but, but.

*sighs

500-750 words per month is both doable (in terms of time, even knowing your layered writing process) and a nice exercise (IMO).

Given how much you have going on, perhaps the smaller bites are more manageable right now. So I'd say... no holmestice may be a good decision, unless you know something positive will be happening with your upcoming schedule.

My bad habits. I am lavvyan´s nemesis, always repeatedly asking for extension. I regularly jot down a few vague ideas, procrastinate, procrastinate, procrastinate, get terrified, procrastinate, write it, NEED ONE MORE DAY FOR BETA, extension, repeat process. Do not want.

On the other hand, COMMENTS.

ARE YOU PSYCHIC, I was just forbidding myself to offer this five minutes ago. If you trust me with this, I am very touched and in. Give me a shortened deadline so that I can stick to the tradition and ask for extension. 1000 words are not necessary in these cases, right?

YAY for pinch-hitting. That's what I did last time and it was awesome. I caved and signed up this time. I can't believe how much material we've squeezed out of 3 episodes. Though, I guess, to be fair, we do have all of ACD Canon to draw from, technically. :)

BBC fandom really is ridiculously huge. And talented. And huge, omg. But what I love most about holmestice is that we get people from almost all corners of fandom, all happily playing along. That's amazing. ♥
