machshefa | Status Report @ the Kitteez, and a Rec

Despite their best efforts, kittiez have not yet learned to type.

However, they are happy to report that they are making great progress training Mommi to give them kitty treats when they sit nicely and 'MEOW'.

Namir: Mommi givez moar tweets if i go 'up' and blinks at her. I blinks at Mommi lots cuz i lurves her. Also girlz and leetle boy. And daddi.

Also, they are teaching all members of the family to follow when directed (by MEOW or waving of paw).

Shoko: Dey iz slow, but dey learnz, speshuly if I MEOWs lots.

Mornings are a great example of this.

Namir: Come FEEDZ me NAOW! MEOW! *accompanied by indignant expression (note, there is still food in the bowl... but FRESH food is critically important, of course, lest kitteh starve...)

The loft bed in the twins' room is excellent for watching the lunch channel out the window and for hiding from children when they need a break. They either use the ladder or just... leap (from the small table the girls put by the window so that they could sit and look out at the snow covered tundra). Speaking of snow covered tundra, the breakfast channel (AKA the glass doors to the back yard) has been showing particularly disappointing programming of late. Tsk. Meowing at it has not helped a bit. Alas.

Shoko and Namir: Wherez dah sun, mommi?

Also, shoes and boots are suspect and must be regularly stalked. Especially furry boots.

*kitteez squint at them, crouching so as to be ready for imminent attack

And when Mommi comes home after a long day, snuggling and purring is available, which is good b/c all the words get used up by that time and purrrrrr is about all that's left.

Shoko: Mommi wantz us to rite her change... um... eschange... um... some story or sumthin. I ritez 'bout mowses.

Namir: Noooo. 'bout poshuns mowses, not reglur mowses.

*makes sure kittens have their own login names on the computer so that they can get to work

Speaking of writing... If you've not yet read anything by

cathedralcarver , run, don't walk. She's just started posting to OWL (WOOT!), and her work appears on her LJ as well. Her writing simply sings.
