Five for Five... or Five for Three... or whatever

So, if I delete like... 200 words, and add another 200 words (more or less)... have I just run in place, or am I 200 words towards my goal?

*whimpers

They were bad, doopid words, honest.  They didn't belong there and the story is much better off without them. Yes, indeed.

Well, it's writing, right?  That's the goal. :)

I'm about 2000 words into Chapter 6 of King of Swords.  My hope is to post a chapter by the end of the weekend... *fingers crossed

I think words edited out should count towards 5_for_5 word count. They are still words, and goodness knows editing is bloody hard. So call it 400 words worth of effort and thought. *hugs*
