30 Days of Yay

machshefaIt would appear that I have written 7,000 words this weekend for "King of Swords."
(pauses to boggle and to thank Mr M for not only indulging, but encouraging the writing time)
That would be a solid draft for both Chapters 20, and 21. Everything is going to need more smoothing and layering and probably lots of worrying and wibbling (this appears to be part of the maturation process for a story - who knew?). I'm predicting that this story will be complete in 22 (maybe 23, but more likely 22) chapters.
I'm not ready to think about what it will feel like to be done with the story I started in the spring of 2008. Whoa.
Also, cute kids were cute and perky all weekend. As were cats (who had a spa night tonight filled with hair brushing and claw clipping, despite their requests to postpone ;)).
