SSHG Awards
Nov. 5th, 2008 10:56 pmIt's been a few days, but
mollyssister was gracious enough to give me a poke and encourage me to list the stories I've written that are eligible for nomination in this round's SSHG Awards, Moste Potente Passions. My stories are not of the caliber of so many who have already begun listing their work, but
mollyssister pokes, and I (fangurl that I am), obey.
I keep thinking of myself as a newbie (which I am, my first story was for the 2007 Winter exchange) but I just realized that I actually have one story that doesn't qualify for this round!
I thought I had no stories to tell (ok, maybe just the one for the exchange), but I was apparently misinformed by the muse. I've had so much fun writing (between fits of whingeing), and am pleased with how my writing has developed over the last year. So, for those who are interested, here are the stories that I've written that qualify for this round (including the newly revealed, in progress, Potter Place, Anything Goes story).
Chaptered Stories:
In Dreams (M) Genres: Angst, Romance • Warnings: Adult Content, Deathly Hallows Spoilers
Chapters: 8 • Words: 27391
Summary: Her dreams have haunted her for years. What will change when she finally remembers them?
King of Swords (M) Potter Place's Anything Goes Challenge
Genres: Angst, Psychological, Romance Warnings: none
Summary: It was only after Snape followed her into the neglected shop, moving furtively between the shafts of sunlight that pierced the gloom, that it occurred to him to wonder why, ten years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione Granger was running. And why, in a world with magic, real magic, she should be seeking the counsel of a Muggle Tarot reader.
Chapters: 3 Word Count: 9706 Completed: No
One-Shots:
Take This Longing (M) Genres: PWP • Warnings: Adult Content
Summary: Written as a birthday gift for Potions Mistress. I hope that you enjoy, my dear!
The Couch (M) Genres: Romance
Summary: It appeared out of nowhere in the Hogwarts staffroom. So why was Severus Snape so drawn to it? Written as a birthday gift for SSHG316 (aka: Shug).
Drabble Series:
Transported (M)
Genres: Challenge: 100 words, Portus_Envy, Romance, Snape/Granger 100 • Warnings: Deathly Hallows Spoilers
Summary: A mysterious energy surge sends Hermione Granger abroad to investigate. An uninvited traveling partner comes along. A drabble series written for Portus_Envy. (Not yet completed.)
ETA: Leave it to me to post late at night without checking story posting dates. Two drabble sets posted after July 21 and aren't eligible for this round.
Alternate Link to Stories.
In other news, my exchange story is giving me fits (see reference to whingeing, above), but it is coming along. Annie Talbot has the patience of a saint. I'm hopeful that this weekend will see some real progress as I continue to take it apart and put it back together. *whimpers in anticipation.... If only I could plot first, write second. Why do I only know the story after I've written thousands and thousands of words? I'm hoping not to have tobeg ask the mods for an extension. Hides from mods.
