Ooh, I'm excited. Making a note to self to read this story in a week or two -- after I read a couple of other things. :-) I was just thinking about Tarot today. I'll have to add my deck to the list of things I want to find when I finally get to clean the house. One more week before kindergarten starts....

Hooray! I'm excited that you'll be reading :D I know you have a large pile you're working through (not to mention the book that you must be careful not to drop on a child cuz it's really heavy, y'know?)

And in response to your LJ post, let me just say that 'loser' is the word least likely to be associated with you and your mothering (as well as other aspects of you-ness) in my mind.

Husband has just gone to drop off The Maw at daycare. This is Tot's week off between preschool and kindergarten, when she gets the long, long-promised mommy alone time. It's her paycheck for 17 months of big-sister work. I'll try to manage it without going bonkers.

Oh, lordy.

She gets an entire week of Mommy alone time? You are a saint amongst mothers. She's a delight, but the intensity of a child as verbal and thoughtful and verbal as she is is daunting. :) It's not you. Again, I emphasize, I think she's adorable and a delight, but that doesn't mean it's exhausting and that you need some silence and some space for your brain to work on its own tracks and not only responding to hers...

Wouldn't you know it? When I've been with Tot alone for the past few days, with no toddler coming to claim me, she's been like a breezy summer day. Lightweight, loving, capable of entertaining herself. Huh. Maybe it's just that I'm rubbish at splitting my attention at all. I wouldn't have lasted past one Horcrux, it seems.
